European funding

  • Horizon 2020: Is the European Union’s funding programme to support research, technology development and innovation. It was formerly know as the Framework Programme.
  • INTERREG: Is the transnational element of the ERDF programme used to promote the economic, environmental, social and territorial development across Europe. Organistions in the West Midlands can access 2 elements of this programme, North West Europe and INTERREG EUROPE!, formerly INTERREG IVC.
  • LIFE: Is the EU’s funding instrument for the environment, contributing to the implementation, updating and development of EU environmental policy and legislation by co-financing pilot or demonstration projects with European added value.
  • Erasmus+: Is the EU’s funding programme for boosting skills and employability, as well as modernising Education, Training, and Youth work.
  • Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions: Provide research grants to researchers, regardless of their nationality or field of research, allowing them to gain experience abroad and in the private sector, and to complete their training with competences or disciplines useful for their careers.
  • COSME: Is the EU programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), providing access to finance, to markets, supporting entrepreneurs and creating favourable conditions for business growth and development.
